This is the day after my surgery for the removal of a cateract to my right eye and its replacement with a new lens ,a daunting experience you might say.I was naturally apprehensive- I need not have worried , I was greeted by an exceptional receptionist who looked after me and took me to the ward. On the ward , again the staff were brilliant guiding me through the pre op procedures ,the operating theatre staff came to the ward from time to time to administer eye drops and inform me of their duties ,again they were ultra competant (of course ,as one would expect this of them ) .In the preparation room I was kept informed about what was happening, (I thought that this was the operating theatre) but I was taken into the theatre and once again fully informed about proceedure and put at ease ( as much as was possible) This was a wonderful team who were so efficient. The hospital itself is so peaceful. On top of this excellent treatment and personal care, parking is FREE. Original Comment Report... |

Visited the hospital today with my 21 year old son, after being assaulted last night, sustaining bruising, grazing and possible broken jaw.
He was seen immediately by triage nurse after explaining he’d passed out several times, who referred us straight to the nurse practitioner.
She thoroughly checked my son for fractures and any brain injury, fortunately he was absolutely fine.
However, more importantly my son has been having frequent episodes of blacking out , due to low blood pressure and his height, 6’7., and is now seeing a cardiologist.
The nurse went to great lengths to reassure him and explain the issues concerning this problem, we learnt more in one hour than we have in 3 months from the doctors!
All in all, cannot praise the nurse practitioner enough, the Nhs needs more lovely ladies like this! Original Comment Report... |

I had cataract surgery here. I can’t thank the staff enough for putting a very nervous patient at ease! The operation was quick and painless and the surgeon talked me through the procedure, which helped a lot. I now have crystal clear sight and would like to say a big thank you to everyone in the day surgery unit for their kind and caring manner. Original Comment Report... |
