I spent a week here and it was marvellous. Many of the staff did an amazing job at looking after me. The food was plentiful and rich, which suited me absolutely, but might not be to everybody’s liking. The food was flavoursome and extremely tasty, what with some chefs who should be awarded special prizes for their efforts in very hot conditions. My bedroom was en-suite and clean. The circumstances were problematic sometimes for the poor staff, because of Covid and heat from the sun! I saw foxes, cats, squirrels, dogs, mosquitoes, pigeons, magpies, sparrows, seagulls, blackbirds, trees, flowers, a snail - all from the windows. There was a television in my bedroom, which I didn’t watch but there is a huge screen in the lounge/dining room/kitchen. You help yourselves to breakfast whenever you want, but on Saturdays there’s an option of a cooked breakfast and/or cereals and toast, etc., I found the staff to be attentive and friendly, but stood for no nonsense. There’s some strictness, which is necessary. There’s a no alcohol policy, which I am pleased about. You can’t smoke in the building. The fire alarms are tested weekly, and they are loud! I would definitely recommend this emporium.
