Nov 28 2017 Our family were very reluctant to place our Father in a care home, however all the staff were very understanding and the manager reassured us that we could visit any time of day or night. We have kept them to their promise and always visit unannounced and a family member visits every day, never have we found the home to be anything but cheerful and the staff are extremely hardworking and sympathetic to residents needs. All the staff take the time to get to know each resident and their likes and dislikes and are so kind and understanding. The standard of catering is excellent and the individual preferences are accommodated. In the Summer there is a lovely large garden for the residents to enjoy as well as a downstairs lounge looking out onto the garden from patio doors. Upstairs is a pleasant sunny conservatory room. The premises are kept clean and always very warm. We cannot recommend Edgecumbe Lodge highly enough.
