The Rise is a beautiful spacious home set in extensive, well maintained gardens and surrounded by views of the countryside. My mother has been a resident at The Rise for almost a year and I have found the staff, at all levels, to be efficient, dedicated, kind and cheerful. My mother is treated with dignity and respect and any medical or other needs are dealt with promptly. Most important of all my mother is happy.
The kindness of the staff is extended to my father who is always warmly welcomed on his frequent visits. This has been an enormous help to both him and mum as they have adjusted to their new circumstances.
The Rise provides a regular programme of activities as well as frequent, well organised and supervised outings, these have included trips to the Circus, Dartmoor, a ride on the steam train, shopping and the beach.
I whole heartedly recommend The Rise to anyone looking for residential care be it for themselves or a loved one. |

This has to be the retirement home of choice. A beautiful country house set in lovely gardens just outside Dawlish. Immediately one steps inside one cannot fail to be impressed, the period decor lends one to believe it is a hotel. The staff are friendly and welcoming and there is an air of tranquility. My mother ,who is 94, has been here for 18 very happy months could not be in a better place. She suffers from dementia and the staff treat her with the utmost kindness and tenderness. |

My mum has been in The Rise since May. She has settled in really well. The staff are lovely and nothing is too much trouble. They always make you welcome. Recently it was mums 90th birthday, the staff decorated the lounge for us and we had a great party. They made some fantastic food for us and the day was perfect.. Thank you |
