Witnesham Nursing Home

I have been visiting the home for several years and have always found it very friendly the nursing staff are always helpful and always willing to sort things out, I was so pleased to See they got a good revue in the local papers. Many thanks I G Hart.

I visit a resident 3-4 times a week and each time I am given a warm welcome, Sometimes I take my friend to her room or out in the garden. We are given privacy and respect with a touch of humour and understanding. I am able to perform little acts of care to my friend like wash her hair, cut her nails and massage her feet, it is a natural setting where people are individuals with there own personalities. Not just the residents are comfortable about expressing the real selves, the carers each have specialised skills that shine through, they have become friends who have often picked me up at the bus stop on their way to work. The activities at the home are excellent and I feel a lot of effort is put into crafts and entertainment and only a few of the residents participate {which is their choice} I know, but it must be disappointing to the providers. The Lunches are as good as any I have brought anywhere in town, better in most cases. I have also witnessed the care of the frail and people at the end of their lives and again much care is given with a personal touch, Relationships are nurtured and because of that we trust the care staff and management to care for our loved ones as they would their own families. Thank you all so much, I think carers should have a greater profile in the community and their pay to reflect that.

I am just so satisfied with the staff whom have done so much for my husband, and myself when I visit the home. If I query anything I always get a positive answer, I,m kept informed in anything the staff do and this is the way I like it. I find the caring and the whole home first class and I wouldn't want my husband anywhere else and should I need a home I would want to be at Witnesham.
