Tracey House is a residential home for older adults. The home provides a service to a maximum of 24 people. Nursing is not provided at the home. District nurses are used to provide this service.
Tracey House has been registered as a Residential Care Home with Devon County Council since 1983. We were accredited by Devon County Council in 1993. We are members of the National Care Association. From 1st April 2002, we registered with the National Care Standards Commission, which became the Commission for Social Care Inspection in April 2004.
As a general principle we care for our Residents on an individual basis and collectively only when appropriate. To this effect the prospective resident’s needs can be specifically assessed and a plan of care drawn up in consultation with each resident wherever possible. This is reviewed on a regular basis with allocated staff to encourage both continuity and quality of care.
It is our policy to help all Residents to manage their own medication if possible. |
