Holland House Care Home

My mother was resident at Holland House for just under a year as she entered the last stages of dementia. During my initial consultation with the manager we were uncertain if the home was suitable for mums care and so she came on a respite stay for three weeks. I was happy with the care she was receiving and so she stayed ,the best decision I could have made! Mums behaviour was challenging ,however the staff did all they could to deal with this .I was always kept informed of medical visits and changes in medication etc. I got to know the staff really well and never did I have any concerns for my mum, I actually felt like one of the family. Mum passed away in October at the home and the staff were fantastic to both her and myself as she entered the end stages of her life, I cannot speak highly enough of the care she received during her stay at the home.

My mother has been here after a major stroke for over 5 years. She has always been looked after very well, is comfortable and in very good hands. There had been a significant investment recently to upgrade and increase the size of the care home. My father who visits twice a day, every day since mum was admitted says its now like a five star hotel. The thing that has impressed us the most is the additional care given to the close family. Having your parents so far away it's great to know that both are being looked after so well. Highly recommended!!
