This dental practice is hounding me with phone messages, texts, and post. Demanding that I pay them £30 for canceling an appointment. I was due for a checkup on 28th June at 11:30, but had to cancel it that morning because I was still testing positive for Covid. My wife and I had been ill for over a week but were feeling better and I had expected to be able to attend my appointment. The young lad I spoke to on the phone was far from understanding and had an aggressive and disbelief tone to his voice. He demanded proof that I had Covid, when I asked how I was to do that he talked about NHS websites and screenshots. Both my wife and I are in our 70s and had no idea what he was talking about. Since then I have received a text demanding money, then a phone message warning me that there would be consequences if I did not pay. This morning I received a letter in the post, saying the account showed I had an outstanding amount of £30. Also that if I did not pay within 7 days, all future appointments would be canceled. In other words, I would no longer have a dentist. This is a misuse of power from an organization I would expect to have the needs of their patients up most in their minds
