I visit my dentist at the same time every year and was shocked when i went to book my annual appointment only to be told that i hadnt been there in 3 years so had been taken off of the NHS patient list and if i wanted to see a dentist there i would have to pay. This is untrue as i have been every year and have also received treatment from them. They have failed to deal with their mistake and insist i havent been for 3 years. Even tho i have attended every year, received treatment, updated medical forms on every visit and received text message reminders for every appointment they say there is no record of this since 3 years ago. They were quite happy to accept my custom tho if i paid them. I will be taking this further as they have failed to deal with my complaint or take any responsibility. Every time i book my annual appointment i also book my childrens and they have all of my childrens appointments recorded but not mine.

My husband visited the practice a few weeks ago to collect his dentures which had an extra tooth added to his existing plate, when he got them home, without his dentist making sure they fitted properly, he found the tooth which had been added was not suituated in line with the other teeth. He returned & asked asked to have this rectified, but when he collected them today, and was still not satisfied with the result, he found his dentist unhelpful & just fobbed him off. This is not acceptable and has been dealt with in a most unsatisfactory manner. He has paid for a less that satisfactory job. He did tell his dentist he would be making a complaint, but his attitude was ‘ that’s fine’. Not what you would expect from a professional.
