For most of my life I have been terrified of dentists,(due to a bad childhood experience). However, since I have been a patient at Newport Dental Practice, my fear has reduced considerably I have been with NDP for a couple of years and had both fillings and tooth extractions. I have to say that my dentist has been brilliant on all occasions. He is both kind and gentle and takes his time to explain to me the procedure. In addition, the reception staff are always polite and welcoming. I would not go anywhere else for dental treatment

I am the worlds worst dental patient, I had to go to and have an abscess sorted, and this transpired that I had to have a root canal done, ...I immediately started to panic and booked my appointment for two weeks later, by the time the appointment time arrived I was a complete nervous reck, however, I was put at my ease by the very lovely receptionist, and when my turn came to go up the stairs I was met at the top by a very kind dental nurse who showed me to the chair where my dentist was waiting. He immediately calmed me down and started the procedure, he stopped at intervals so I could take a deep breath and swallow ,and when there was pain he talked me through it. It took about 40 mins in all and although I am still a nervous patient I have to say that the treatment and kindness I received was very good.
