Snodland Medical Practice

After having a serious injury to my ankle I visited A&E who confirmed it wasn't broken but that I required an MRI scan. This was needed urgently as I could damage it further by using it and also healing incorrectly could cause long term issues. It was impossible to get an appointment with my GP in the next 8 weeks not even a telephone appointment so I asked for a referrals to my private medical company for the MRI and told that I needed to see my GP for the referral which again wouldn't be any time soon. After a few visit to the surgery to beg for a referral I was eventually told this could be done without seeing my GP. I took down the referral form immediately. It's now 7 days later and due to my GP only being part time and now going sick it's stil not done this is so depressing. I do not get paid all the time I dont work and my spare time is heavily involved in fitness which I now can't do either for fear of making things worse. I'm now not sleeping because of the pain and worry and it appears there's is absolutely nothing I can do as my surgery refuse to let me see anyone but my absent Dr.

I've been with this practice for over 30 years, gone are the days where this used to be an exceptional surgery with outstanding staff who cared. It now takes hours to get through to the surgery and when you do you can't get an appointment. I've been told to use the online application to book appointments, which upon first use I thought this would be great as easily found an appointment, sadly this was too good to be true as the application allows you to select GP's who you apparently "can't see" (show's several GPs to book appt with) and your appointment gets cancelled (with little notice). I've never met such rude receptionists or should we call them DR? As they seem to think they are clinical and want to know every single detail about your medical condition before offering an appointment, I get they wish to ensure you go to the best service for your needs however if I wish to see a GP then I should be allowed to see a GP without interrogation. They even call to cancel appointments when you have them booked because you've not given them (non-clinical staff) any clinical information. This is private between the patient and the clinician. I've lost track how many times I've asked to see the practice manager who is never available, never returns calls and no one seems to know where they are, I'm starting to think she isn't real! Equally, there is never any management on-site to deal with issues, how can the surgery be run like this? My GP left last year and has only just been replaced, all the good GP's don't stay and the locums are very rude. It's disappointing to see the practice that my friends, family and myself go to, going down hill so quickly - you only have to read this site to see how bad it is and also the generic "cut and paste" responses from the practice manager don't address any issues as you can not "go in and meet with her" as suggested in her responses. I must also mention all the notes that are around the building, each wall has something written on it usually in CAPITALS for no reason other than to SHOUT at you demanding you do something or don't do something, it looks like a child has been given a printer and told to print what they like, often the notes have spelling mistakes and don't make sense. Please take note of the concerns raised by your patients, we are your customers and we have to stick with you as there is no other choice for GP locally, please at least treat us with respect and dignity.
