Recently my family has had a spate of issues which means we have gone from rarely using the doctors to fairly frequently. I have been very impressed with the help from the receptionists, getting appointments when we needed them, and the professionalism and thoroughness of the GPs. Even so, I don't think I really appreciated the level and quality of support from Ottershaw Surgery until I had to help my elderly parents in Manchester. The huge difference in GP support and appointment availability made me realise just how good and friendly our local surgery is.

.I’ve recently move to the area and Ottershaw Practice. Was quite nervous about changing my doctor. However the Dr and the team couldn’t of been more helpful. They put me at ease straight away. Nothing was too much trouble. Assisting me with the required paperwork, at my first appointment the receptionist staffs were a breath of fresh air compared to my previous surgery. Making an appointment was easy and the receptionists staffs seemed to care. Very different from dealing with my previous Surgery where your made to feel it’s a problem to even make an appointment. I’ve had appointments with a couple of the doctors at Ottershaw practice, I have found them very professional, polite, kind, caring and understanding. They have given me invaluable advise around my health, nothing has been too much trouble, even taking the time to call me on my mobile to discuss my concerns. Again something I haven’t experience before at other Surgeries . A real personal touch, which has been very refreshing. The surgery has also sent my prescription to my local pharmacy making my life easy. I would like to thank the Dr and staff for making me feel so welcome. Having had a cough for a few months that wouldn't go away which was sometimes a bit painful, I finally decided that I needed some professional help to check it out "just in case". One particular doctor immediately referred me for a chest x-ray at St Peters the following day and reviewed the results 2 days later even though he was about to go off on holidays. Fortunately all clear and nothing a prescription of antibiotics couldn't cure. Thank you this particular doctor.
