I used to feel cared for by doctors at this surgery, but not anymore! Don't go if you have a number of problems or any musculoskeletal pain, unless it is something glaringly obvious. In general, you will be given unspecific diagnosis (if any); no referral for chronic pain or other investigations to Specialists for years on end. Thereby, resulting in extremely delayed specialised diagnosis and constant, long-term, chronic pain and distress. If you have minor ailments with minimal pain and symptoms, you will get help. Otherwise not!!! There is no excuse for passivity from primary care providers.

I've have been using Stour Surgery for 18 years now and the only thing I feel slightly ashamed of is not writing something here sooner. I've have had an excellent service over the years and my GP and the staff of the practice have been nothing but supportive. In recent years, I've needed operations for two carpal tunnels and a hernia; the referral from Stour Surgery to the hospital on all three occasions was prompt and efficient. The appointment system at Stour Surgery works perfectly; I call and ask my GP to call me back, the call comes back the same day and it either concludes in an appointment or a satisfactory resolution is reached. I would, therefore, be very happy to recommend Stour Surgery.
