My husband and I have been with this practice since 2009 when we moved into the area and feel really privileged to be able to use their very professional and caring service. My husband has several needs and gets very confused, but his treatment is always first rate and caring, from the Doctors and Nurses right through to kind reception assistance. I myself not such a regular need but always there to give treatment and respect. This is a very caring practice

I have observed a steady deterioration of this service past year. Getting an appointment has become increasingly difficult even if you do as instructed and telephone at 8.30am. Communication, in general, is difficult because the surgery does not have an email contact address for patients to use and I feel strongly that this should be addressed so that, when I am asked by my GP to put something in writing, I can do so without resorting to pen and paper. The surgery seems to do little to accommodate people who work full-time who require appointments and some GPs appear inexperienced and lacking in confidence. At times the bare minimum is offered as a response to concerns and there is little appreciation of patients’ background and self-efficacy when determining treatment plans or a need for referral. In general, my confidence in the service is deteriorating rapidly and I am concerned that if I, or a member of my family, become ill we will not get the care we need.

I am sorry to hear of your concerns about the service you feel you are receiving from us. You may be aware that the Practice has experienced difficulties in recruiting GPs over the last 12 - 18 months following the retirement and departure of some longer standing GPs. This has had an impact on the number of appointments we have been able to offer patients. We are also conscious that the pressures of winter illnesses are affecting the availability of routine appointments at present, as we are needing to provide more same day access. We do run late surgeries on a Tuesday evening in order to assist patients who work and we will look into your suggestion regarding the availability of an email address for patients. Your post also appears to raise some specific clinical concerns and it would be helpful if you could contact me so we could discuss these further and I can provide feedback to the clinicians involved. It is difficult for us to address such concerns without specific examples and when you have chosen to remain anonymous. All patients retain the right to choose their Medical Practice and whilst disappointing to us, you may feel that you would prefer to register with another Practice in the local area. With kind regards Sarah Wilson Practice Manager

I have been a patient at this practice for a few years now. I rarely leave reviews but felt that I wanted to support the practice. I have a very needy extended family with disabilities and feel that they are always treated with compassion and respect. I myself have been well supported during recent surgeries. The doctors are at the top of their game in terms of up to date knowledge and practice. The nurses and nurse practitioners are great and the reception staff invariably helpful. A special mention also to the Carer's Co-ordinator who is unfailingly efficient and resourceful. All this in a time of great stress and cuts within General Practice. Thank you.
