Can’t fault the care received by GP I see regularly very understanding and always listens and gives good advice and support. But urgent care appointments I dread. I try to explain why need to see a female dr and feel I’m not listen to and can’t even guarantee to speak to one on the phone. When try to get urgent care appointment I feel I don’t matter due to staff not listening and not understanding about the anxiety I have. I feel I’ve lost trust in the urgent care team at times plus feel I can’t make appointments due to issues. If wasn’t for current doctor still being there I would consider leaving the surgery, which is a shame as I never had any issues before the merge.

Early days in the new merger and we are now on the IVR select 1 for a long wait to see a doctor menu system. I have always liked the one to one doctor experience continuity and knowing your patient are important to me. that is now gone sadly I will mourn it. As we celibrate the brave new world that will I hope bring local analytics and quicker diagnoses I hope that we can reduce waiting times. If we continue on this path of longer waiting times to see a DOCTOR (not a qualified practitioner) we will see fatalities I am sure. I have experienced medical "center" type surgeries abroad that worked very well and could turn around a patient quickly and had next day appointments. why do we struggle to do this? overall I hope things improve I commend the people who struggle to change a system and will wait a while before looking for somewhere else.
