I was due a 5 yearly health check and received an NHS letter to this effect. Blood test was booked for an early morning slot (starvation test!) but upon arrival I had overlooked bringing the form with me. The reception staff were understanding and patient. After a few minutes buzzing about the receptionist kindly printed me a fresh form which enabled me to continue with my booked blood test meaning I did not have to waste an appointment nor rebook it. This saved me considerable inconvenience.

Had the most amazing service from blood lady whom was very kind, patient, caring and friendly after having tremendous trouble trying to get a blood sample from my daughter. After several tries we came back a couple of days later and she explained everything that was happening and gave us lots of tips to help to try and make the 2nd visit successful. My daughter felt at ease and wasn't scared at all because of the lady's friendly nature, we can clearly see she likes her job and does an amazing job too. A very big thank you to all the staff at The Elms Practice for always trying their best. A big, big thank you to her for being such a star though , keep up the fantastic work.

At the moment I am experiencing quite a few difficulties that may not be life threatening or ' if you require an ambulance...'. I rarely visit the doctor but when I do it is usually because I am worried, have real symptoms or else I wouldn't go-I never have liked the experience. Sad to say, I work full time therefore put up with my misery until the school holidays as I have little option to do anything else. At the moment I have an extremely itchy rash on my legs that is growing, fast and spreading, I can't sleep because of it. The excellent lady doctor prescribed steroid cream to see if it would work, it hasn't. She said return if it doesn't get any better. Not - ' just go to the pharmacy and get a repeat' as I've been told today. I am still getting extreme pain from my shoulder injury at Christmas, been seeing a physio, had acupuncture - nothings changed but need Doctor to sanction MRI. Have a terrific cough, that won't go away, pain in my right breast maybe its from the shoulder, who knows? This is not all made up and I'm not very happy that I'm sitting here crying because I am worried, as at 63 these things are worrying! I 've had a letter from the excellent lady doctor saying please make an appointment so today I got up the courage to ring. I was call waiting for 26 minutes to be told it has been bank holiday and all appointments are booked, I don't know how they got through to book them. I've been given 7 June at 10 15. Now I have to ask my head teacher to book a supply teacher for my Year 6 class and risk my mental health state worrying about my real health until then. Shame.
