30 September phoned for an appointment . after nine minutes got through to try and book an appointment and was told the first available one was 29 October. My problem is not life threatening but very uncomfortable. I was advised to go to the walk in clinic in Salisbury. Would it be better if all GP surgeries became walk in surgeries. Since the merger the service has rapidly gone down hill. On the website you are saying you will accept new patients when you clearly cannot service the patients you have already!

This is a terrible medical practice. The only way to enter the lottery to get a medical appointment is to join the 0800 or 1230 phone-in game where you are kept on hold to wait for 20 minutes to be told that there are no appointments left for the day. If you're lucky, you are told that someone will phone you at home for a triage appointment 'sometime this afternoon', so you wait around all day and nobody calls while you're taking a day off work, glued to your mobile, for a 20 minute consultation which may or may not ever happen. You are advised to call outside peak times if it's a non-urgent request but if you do, you're told that they aren't allowed to pre-book appointments so you have to join the lottery for tomorrow. This is an appalling and utterly useless system and Three Chequers is taking a liberty by advertising itself as a medical provider. Shameful.
