Waited outside from 7.35am. Fourth in the queue. Doors opened at 8am. The guy in front of me, 3rd in line, was told that no face-to-face appointments were available that day as all had already been booked via phone callers. Time was 8.08am. All appointments booked in 8 minutes! Despite a potentially severe condition, all I was offered was a phone consultation sometime that morning. It seems the days of being able to sit down and discuss issues with your Doctor are long gone; they are basically just a phone -based referral service. With the advent of '111', Walk-in (Urgent Care) Centre and A&E I really don't see the need for GP services any longer. They should be scrapped altogether and the savings ploughed into upgrading the Emergency and Urgent Care Centres.

Shocking experience. Trying to get prescriptions is a nightmare. Communication is so poor.

This practice is shocking for service and the ability to see a doctor to the extent we are considering moving house to get out of the catchment area. After you have waited on the phone for 90 mins they tell you there are no appointments call back tomorrow and wait 90 mins in the vain hope you can have an appointment. If you are not really ill to start you will be when you have finished with this surgery. Best advice is to go straight to the walk in or A&E because that's the only advice you get from the receptionist.
