As I have various cancer related problems as good GP practice is very important to me.
I have found the Doctors at Lakeside very much in touch with patients needs and have even received phones call following up on issues. | |||||||

Firstly when you phone up you have to tell the receptionists what the problem is,which I disagree with as ,they are not a doctor so therefore shouldn’t have the right to decide who gets an appointment .When I finally got an appointment,i wish I hadn’t borthered,I found the doctor unsympathetic and got no treatment,I have only visited this practice a handful of times in the past 17 years I have lived here and wish there was another local practice | |||||||

I attended an appointment today with the GP which I had booked well in advance due to working full time, I live around 8 miles from the surgery, the GP prescribed me a tube of ointment the prescription went to the pharmacy, I went to the pharmacy window and was asked to take a seat, I sat for 30 minutes before they noticed me still waiting they asked me who I had seen, I gave the GP name, then they told me that as my regular prescription goes to Pharmacy2u I should call them to see if it could be delivered sooner than my usual monthly repeat if they could not deliver it sooner to let the pharmacy know and they would have to cancel my prescription to Pharmacy2u and give me the cream, I went out to the car park and called Pharmacy2u and waited on hold for ten minutes, eventually gave up and went back in to the pharmacy. And asked why I could not just get the tube of cream from them as I Was here, I would not be back in oundle for some time, I explained that I had seen a GP a few weeks ago and she prescribed ear drops which were dispensed for me there and then with no mention of Pharmacy2u, I asked why if it was possible then why not now? She said it depends on the GP who they send the prescription to etc. What a muddle for a small tube of cream which was sitting on the shelf behind them, the outcome of today was a good consultation but I had to leave without the recommended medication due to the convoluted process in the surgery pharmacy, so frustrating and disappointing and such a waste of time, twenty mins with GP and nearly an hour trying to get a tube of cream without success | |||||||
