I changed local surgeries as my previous practice did not do travel jabs which are available on the NHS. My husband and I registered with windrush and were both seen in good time to have our travel jabs before our holiday. Since then I needed to see the doctor, it was non-urgent and was seen within 2 weeks at a convinient time. I arrived quite early and was seen 20 minutes early for my appointment which was great. Really pleased with the service and will be sticking with them.

I have recently joined the surgery but it has taken two attempts with very inept staff dealing with it. The first receptionist was great, really helpful. I had a missed call with no message so called back and it turned out to be the surgery. A different receptionist answered who said they could see who called me but she couldn't take a message from me or pass on that I called back. I was advised that the doctor would call back as part of the process. They did not. I called again to be told they shredded my registration documents because I didn't call back and that I had to take another day off work to go and register again. I need the GP to reply in to the Police on a matter and this has not be done either, its been outstanding for 20 days. They haven't and won't chase the previous surgery for my files and when I ask to speak to the person responsible I get told they have gone home - its 3:45... Not a good start with complete lack of understanding and a lot of thats not my job so not helping attitude.

So far it has take over 3 weeks I keep getting told it’s upstaybut I’m not going and I have the persons name I write down everything. Now 3 weeks on need my medication but have none only what 111 Could do and it’s not their job these surgeries get plenty money from the government for each patient are you picking and choose and sorting country of origin section cause my accent sticks out and you people don’t like that is that how my paper work made it to the bin. Get your act together doing what you are doing is wrong don’t get all full glee so quick it can be very short lived especially when I get my lawyer involved and they will need to see everything. Cut backs the chatting and cups of tea and you may manage to register a patient. Who knows. And your supervisor or other superior/s may be very interesting in what is really going on in fact an audit wouldn’t go amiss.
