Have been with the practice for over four years now. No issues with getting an urgent appointment when needed. GPs and nurses very helpful and HCAs friendly and professional. As a fellow healthcare professional I thoroughly recommend the practice.

I had to telephone the surgery on behalf of my elderly mother, the receptionist booked a call back for me, a GP rang me and within an hour the brilliant Dr Ray came out to see her, nothing was too much trouble, he was very patient, kind and thorough, he listened too our concerns and my suggestions, he got the crisis team involved and by 5pm mum had been seen and assessed by the lovely OT’s who supplied equipment, are returning tomorrow to supply some more and have arranged physios to call, plus a prescription waiting at the chemist. Had I done a self referral to social services it would have taken weeks, in just one day they whole Elm Surgery Team and Live Well Crisis team have hopefully averted a very nasty life threatening accident happening. Imagine how much todays service would have cost me without the NHS!! Drs and the whole NHS are under immense pressure, complaints and negative feed back will only lead to the excellent staff we have leaving to find a less stressful job, there are so many really Ill people around, with resources being cut all ways and more and more patients being put onto the Doctors, because surgeries close, they try so hard but often there best is never enough for some people, who expect miracles Thank you Elm Surgery for all you do.
