I have a hearing disability and often feel I have drawn the short straw when I'm not listened to. Recently I was at the hospital clinic for a diagnosed Ulcerative colitis flare up and prescribed a steroid course. I was told to contact the practice for a sick note which I did last Wednesday. I received a text saying I would have a response within 3 working days. This has NOT happened Today I called and what the receptionist said it wasn't ready but she would put it in today and I could get it tomorrow afternoon. Such awful admin delays cause so much stress and despite being only 10 minutes walk away I would not be allowed to call in to sort it out. This causes unnecessary stress which exacerbates the UC flare up. I was hospitalised in June/July already so could be readmitted. Seems to me the patient comes last and instead of the practice assisting in the flow of patients my only option will be to attend A&E putting pressure there because the system isn't working

I have an autoimmune disease and had pain in my chest and breathing difficulties. Had no symptoms of a cold or flu, and was negative for covid. Got an appointment 6 days later. GP did not examine me in any way and would not listen to me. He stated I probably had bug which was going around. 2 days later, I collapsed and was taken to hospital by ambulance. I had a pulmonary embolism. I would NOT recommend this GP practice to anyone with ongoing health issues.
