Echoing the reviews of a large number of others, it is pretty much impossible to get an appointment. Once you've sat in the call queue for what seems an eternity there are never any appointments. Whether merely a perception or the reality it feels like you are constantly met by barriers to access the surgery. It has reached the point where I have just given up. If there are people with symptoms associated with potentially serious illness whom have reached the same point it represents a serious concern. In person practice staff are generally friendly and helpful, but overall treatment is consistently abysmal.

They do not answer the phone, or email. You cannot speak to anyone over the reception counter for an appointment. I have put up with pain rather than try to get another appointment, I cannot stand the process to simply get yet another phone call from a locum who says that I need to make an appointment to see the Dr. (Which is what I asked for, but only got a second locum call) Records kept incorrectly, resulting in me being unable to get prescriptions via POD. Totally failure to correct records for a year, despite numerous requests to the reception desk. Outside plastered in many messy home made notices, the inside is tired, uncomfortable, displays falling off walls, boxes stored at one end of reception, unhelpful staff. Clearly a very unloved and poorly managed practice.

Still shocking with answering phones, they should disconnect them. Very little effort it seems on the part of some of the reception staff to assist patients. I submitted a complaint to PALs with proof of particulars including an email i sent to the practice manager for which i received no reply. PALS outcome 'if the GP practice does not contact you after we have notified them of your complaint there is nothing further we can do to assist'. Shocking culture this which wont get better while this is the case.
