Having been with this Practice for a number of years in Barnsley, it was thought prudent, when we moved home to Wombwell, to remain with the Medical Professionals we were accustomed to. |

My partner had today off for his appointment with a specialist ear nurse we received a call 10 minutes before hand which was missed due to driving.
He tried to call back but no answer.
Arrived at the appointment on time , was told to be seated and then a nurse popped their head around the door to say they wasn't qualified for his procedure and that he needs to rearrange for a day when the correct nurse is in.
Reception staff then state that the ear nurse is fully booked and to call back next Friday (not this Friday) so a whole 10 days away to see if there will be any availability for after then (so probably a further 2 weeks wait aswell)
It's safe to say he is very disappointed and it has made out day very stressful especially now he will have to wait 3 weeks at least with blocked ear canals.
Please take responsibility for your mistakes staff and at least provide some level of customer service when you cock up. |

I had enough with this surgery waiting a long time on the phone to get an appointment and then they put the phone down. Why they cut the phone after a long wait. Ironically a few occasions, I had to drive there while still on the phone to make an appointment, I always have to wait at least an hour or over after my appointment time. In 03/08 I was trying to make an appointment the receptionist told me to to the pharmacy to get medication even though I was complaining form disk pain in my back which I was received hospital treatment for it. Is the receptionist qualified to give such advice or that only happens in Brompton health center? When I went to complain at the surgery I was told someone will call regarding this and no one called yet. I will be writing a formal complaint against this surgery. Telephones lines are extremely busy (especially at peak times) and we strive to answer them as quickly as we can so I can only apologise for the difficulty you seem to have experienced getting through. Having said that if you would kindly speak to one of our receptionists then our Practice Manager is more than happy to arrange a meeting with you to discuss the concerns you have raised. |
