This used to be a brilliant practice in terrible premises. It is now a terrible practice in fantastic premises. The main problem is getting an appointment. The reception staff will do anything to avoid giving you an appointment and are reluctant to make an appointment without a telephone triage even when the appointment is not urgent and you are prepared to wait for a bookable appointment. The waiting room is always empty. Probably because so few in person appointments are being given. It would be interesting to see what the percentage of telephone appointments is. The main plus point of this practice is that it has a good car park.

I understand the surgery is a very busy one and sometimes we can't get an appointment with our chosen GP,but it has become impossible to get one with my GP who I've seen for over 20 years, nothing online at all and that goes up to near end of August, when ring up now can't ask for appointment with named GP and have to be called back, finding this very stressful and was told by receptionist that I need to get to build up a trust with another GP at practice as it will be more harder to see my chosen GP from now on, due to my anxiety I feel I can't do this and feel like I'm now without the support of my GP with whom I trust and they know my history, it's left me feeling rather isolated and suffering with a few on going problems that I don't know who to turn to, would prefer the old way of booking appointments,

I have been a patient at this practice for all of my 34 years and have never had a major issue until today. I am 7 weeks pregnant and have been experiencing some very severe pains. I was informed by my midwife to go to my gp which I did. I have visited this particular doctor before and didn’t really rate him but because I was desperate to be seen I booked to see him again. The doctor I felt was very unsympathetic and said that there was nothing he could do but take blood and book me in for a scan at the RVI in 1 weeks time. 1 WEEK!!! I expressed my concerns and he said that if I wanted to find out sooner then I should call the hospitals to try and get myself a scan but he said that he doubted that I would get one. This Doctor showed no empathy for what I was going through even after I mentioned that if my baby was still alive today the stress that 1 week of unknowing would surely lead the worse outcome possible. His response was to stare at me blankly until I decided to leave. This Doctor is the perfect example of why The NHS is given such bad press! This surgery has thrived over the years but I think that they should feel ashamed to employ such a careless doctor! I will be switching my surgery
