After phoning the surgery for an appt for my husband I was told their was none left for the day but to ring at 6.30pm and we should be able to get one. I rung and was greeted with is it an emergency. I replied no but was told to ring back now as nothing in the day. Then I was asked the problem and name and was told to come at 7.15pm. I asked for one more for my self and the receptionist tutted at me and said I don't know it's for emergencies only there's only one doctor (I'm not a mind reader) but we needed to be seen. Since when did sitting at the reception desk give the receptionist a doctors degree... I work for the NHS myself and wouldn't dream of talking to my patients or family members this way. We was seen in the end, but no thanks to the member of staff on the phone.

I just wanted to made an appointment by phone and the receptionist was incredibly rude and shout to me, don't give me an appointment when I wanted and spoke to me disrespectfully. English is not my first language so I have an accent but don't think this is the way to speak to someone and shout (!) in the telephone. I made me feel very disappointed.
