This is our local pharmacy, within walking distance from our home.We like to support local business where we can but honestly the service here is so slow and inefficient we've decided it will be more straightforward to use an online pharmacy to order regular medication for home delivery in future. It's such a shame because all it would take is a bit of common sense in managing the queue of customers waiting for service. Of course there is a need for social distancing while we are in the midst of a pandemic, but serving one person at a time, and making up multiple medications for them means that there is always a queue of 2 plus people waiting outside - whatever the weather. Surely it would be more efficient to take the prescription and then ask that customer to wait outside while it's being made up and call them back when it's ready so that they can move on to the next customer, or even run a separate queue for non prescription purchases.

Queued to get in for about 30 mins on a Saturday despite my mother being there way before it was due to close. They had the prescription for 2 days before we came to collect it, so they had time to sort it. Pharmacist was lovely, helpful and kind. The staff on the other hand were rude, unhelpful, and made my elderly mother cry, because her prescription took a while to sort. They moaned at her because of the time it took to sort it, then they made her feel low and insignificant and a pain. And absolutely no respect for her or her feelings. She came out in tears. Returning to the GP to change pharmacy now. I will move heaven and earth not to send her back to that pharmacy.
