To those in charge of Lloyds Pharmacy. I have for the second time in as many months had a problem picking up my prescription that I ordered, on line, in plenty of time before I ran out of my current order. The issue appears to be with the disjoint between the e prescription approval with the doctors and the pharmacy computer. What ever is the route cause of this disjoint it is presenting a three fold problem: 1) it is causing stress to patients who have to constantly keep visiting the pharmacy to “chase up” outstanding items , 2) the staff at Lloyds, who are doing a tremendous job in having to do a work around to ensure prescriptions keep moving and at the same time having to front costumers who are obviously frustrated and 3 ) there is a extra demand on the surgery and staff at Pentorr Health to help sort out missing urgent prescriptions. If the critical element of this system relies on the computer system working at 100% efficiency then obviously it is not fit for purpose or/and there is no redundancy or diversity to allow for some working fall back options. I am well aware that there are other external issues wrt supplies etc but this issue needs to be addressed before it gets any worse. Hopefully it will be addressed ASAP because I hasten to add that the service Lloyds at Torpoint as provided to me personally and the community at large has been excellent.
