I had an Inguinal hernia repair 4 days ago and I would like to say how grateful I am about the treatment I received from all the staff at Benenden Hospital. From the nurse who welcomed me when i arrived to the surgeon and the anesthetist as well as the nurses who looked after me after the operation, they all treated me with a lot of kindness, professionalism and good humour. When I woke up I was not feeling sick or felt any pain, thanks to the fact I had a local as well as a general anesthesie . Since I came home, apart from a little discomfort which has been held in check by some mild pain killers, I have been recovering very quickly. Thanks again to Benenden Hospital for allowing me to go quickly back to a normal life. Anne Frimpong

I had an appointment on the 11th July but on my way to the hospital (about a mile away) I had a tyre explode. I called the hospital to explain I doubted I could keep my appointment and explained the reason why. I was told if I could get there I would be seen. A kind passerby stopped and took me to the hospital and I was seen by the Consultant in less than 20 minutes of my arrival. The staff were so helpful and compassionate towards me. After being seen my Consultant I asked if they had a cab number I could call to get me back to my car. A very kind nurse said don't be so silly, I will take you back to your car - which she did. I would just like to thank everyone involved for their kindness in what was a stressful situation.
