I started using Simon Browning 14 years ago after laser surgery in the USA and although I have since moved all over the country and now live in Peterborough I still choose to travel to Simon Browning for my eye tests. Last May, after a local walk in centre told me floaters and flashing lights were 'nothing to worry about' and to book an appointment for the following week, I declined and instead attended my routine eye test booked in with Simon Browning at 4pm five days later. As soon as I mentioned the problems I had the previous week my eye test was fast tracked to Optomap and I was referred that afternoon to Bedford Moorfields who, that evening (within three hours of my referral), carried out emergency laser treatment on two retinal tears and sent me to Moorfields in London where the following day I had surgery for the detached retina. My journey is still ongoing due to complications following the initial surgery but Simon Browning continues to give the support I need to progeress through this.
