Avoid if you can. We are looking for contact lenses for my kid. She is 7 years old. We asked whether she is too young for wearing the lenses, the answer given was no. Basis on their answer, we paid for a couple hundred pounds. But when the lenses arrived, my kid tried for a couple of times, she could not put the lenses in by herself. Then we were told by Gordon Turner, she was not suitable for contact lenses just because she was too young, and could not put in by herself. Why did you tell me at the first place, we do not need to waste money and time. We came to Gordon Turner at the beginning of August, but by the beginning of October, we only been offered three appointments, one appointment in each month, they blamed they were busy. DO NOT ACCEPT NEW PEOPLE IF YOU COULD NOT OFFER APPOINTMENTS. They just carry to take money, not gave correct advice. After that I asked about 10 opticians, all they said 7 years was too young for putting contact lenses, all of them do not recommend 7 years to wear contact lenses. Gordon Turner only need money, do not care for customers. AVIOD, AVIOD, AVIOD. OTHERWISE AT YOUR OWN COSTS. |

My regular high street optician, being unable to identify the source of my eye discomfort and problems with glare, had finally referred me to my GP. Daunted by the prospect of being referred on to an eye specialist with the consequent delay in diagnosis and treatment, I took my neighbour’s advice to visit Gordon Turner Optometrists. Meibomian Gland Dysfunction was promptly diagnosed and treated, and I was also reassured on a number of other concerns. I am extremely grateful and would not hesitate to recommend Gordon Turner Optometrists. I am 70 years old and have had many, many pairs of glasses, including varifocals for more than 30 years. Over the past 18 months I have had cataract surgery to both eyes and, during this time, felt moved to consult Gordon Turner Optometrists rather than the well-known High Street multiple which I had previously, and happily, dealt with.
The bottom line is that I have recently paid £200 more than I have ever paid for glasses, and can honestly say that it is one of the best purchases I have ever made. And I can not over-emphasise my appreciation of the very high quality of advice I have been given at every stage.
In summary, is the difference worth the difference? Without a doubt, yes! Reply from Gordon Turner Optometrists Wed, 15 Feb 2017 12:27:33 Z Thank you Mr Cheyne for your review. We very much appreciate your recommendation and for taking the time to share your experience. We are pleased to hear that you are delighted with your new glasses and the advice you have been given. We will certainly share your kind words with our team at Gordon Turner’s. Sue Turner, Practice Manager |
