We are staying in Hawkshead on holiday. My daughter injured her foot yesterday. We called Hawkshead pharmacy and they advised us they would stay open until we drove down to them. On arrival the pharmacist quickly assessed my daughter and advised us on the nearest hospital to attend. He cleaned and dressed her wound and gave clear advice. I would highly recommend this service. They are helpful, friendly and professional. A really helpful service for this rural location. I am sure they save many people trips to A&E. Thank you

I would just like to say how wonderful it is to have such a good chemist in the village of Hawkshead. We manage two businesses in the area which deals on a daily basis with hundreds of people, we regularly send people to Collins and Butterworth for advice about minor ailments, all who greatly appreciate this service. Having the chemist in the village prevents a lot of people needlessly going to the A and E department at Barrow

I hugely appreciate how helpful local pharmacists Collins and Butterworth Pharmacy in Hawkshead and Thomas Bell Pharmacy in Ambleside were in collectively helping me to procure some antibiotics that I had run out of, and which were not readily available, over the bank holiday weekend. Without their sterling service, I would have been in huge trouble. This shows how essential local pharmacies are to the community in Cumbria. They truly went above and beyond the call of duty for me, working over the bank holiday weekend, and I am grateful to them for their attentive and immediate services. They worked together professionally and displayed a level of knowledge, which is vital resource, not only for the wellbeing of the local community, but also to the many holiday makers who visit the area.
