Told by the nurse to collect prescription after mid day when it would be ready. Arrived 12.15 . And find a large queue of 10 waiting outside due to the coronavirus restrictions. Cold November day but at least it's not raining. One Elderly lady is suffering from the cold after waiting at least half an hour outside. When she comes out after eventually being served she collapsed, hitting her head badly and braking her glasses. After waiting half an hour in the cold am told the prescription isn't ready can I come back later!!! I think at least the pharmacy should consider putting in place some form of shelter on the front of the premises. Are people expected to wait outside in the rain? Bad enough in the winter cold. Also patients shouldn't be told their prescriptions are ready for collection when they are not. Imagine arriving by bus only to be told to come back later!! | ||||||

I called in today about my prescription. I had noticed that my next prescription was due for collection on the same day that I leave home early to go on a short break. Also, as my medication has been doubled up, I realized that I would run out a few days before then. The young lady who dealt with me was extremely helpful, considerate and kind. Although I fully expected to only be able to collect my prescription a day or two early, I was surprised to be given it today.
I am most grateful to the lady in question. She was assured and efficient in the manner in which she dealt with my problem. Unfortunately, I didn't think to look for her name. Perhaps the person who hands out one of these slips regarding the survey, could just write their name on it before handing it to the patient. | ||||||

I knew it was only a few days until I needed my medications renewing on the repeat prescription service our Pharmacy offers. I factored in the 48 hour waiting time then realised that meant it would clash with Good Friday, a day I wouldn’t suggest any Pharmacy ought to be open unless a designated on call one. The online form allows a custom request box, a sort of free hand messaging service, which stipulates that any of the surgery staff may be able to see it. No secrets here, I admitted I’d forgotten the Bank Holiday weekend and that I’d run out if my Dihydrocodeine for my arthritis, asking nicely if they could fast forward that script by close of play on Thursday. AND THEY DID. This is the second time this Pharmacy has helped me out in this way. I needed to order tablets which were under review and the review appointment was after the time I needed my prescription filled, so I told them in the custom request box and they came up trumps again. Going the extra mile, not hiding behind strict guidelines, but seeing the patient behind the request. And only ever smiling friendly staff. If you can’t see a doctor then the Pharmacists are a font of wisdom, and will see you privately too if you don’t want to talk about your piles in front of the village.
