This is the most frustrating pharmacy on the planet. I moved to boots as their opening hours are better than the pharmacy next to the doctors surgey. The trade off is not worth it! In the last year can only recall 2 times when they have got my prescription right... there is always an issue... always an issue... A majority of the staff in the pharmacy area are just plain rude and unhelpful. No sensible practical advice. They clearly do not have enough pharmacists or staff to cope. There is pretty much always a weight. One time, the pharmacist had give a couple of customers a flu jab, he was possibly no further than a couple of metre away but the fact he had given the jabs meant he could not do anything for 45minutes... They seem to have a complete lack of basic common sense. On my recent visit i asked the pharmacist, a university trained professional, for some advice on the missing medication and all i got was a shrug a grunt and was told I don’t know call 111 1 star is too much.... What i can say is if you do have an issue, do not bother making a complaint in store, you will get absolutely nowhere. Call the boots customer service line, service and response from them was very good. They escalated the issue and sorted me out some carry over medication. All in all, i just do not want to go in there and deal with the pharmacy staff. I have never had this sort of issue anywhere else. Looking at the online reviews for boots pharmacy i can see i am not alone and i can see these sorts of issues have been ongoing for a while. My advice is if you can go elsewhere do so, the only tick in the positive column boots get is opening hours... i do not want to have to call customer care every time i want my medication.
