Today when in the Asda Stanley store with my 6 year old I began to have a panic attack, I went to the pharmacy just to see if I could have a paper bag, the lady gave me not only that but quickly offered a seat In the side room and a cup of water and told me to take as long as I needed even though they were really quite busy. When I come out they asked if I was okay, she had just been coming round to see if I wanted a fan brought in to help. As many will know anxiety is hard to deal with and panic attacks are very frightening especially with my little girl with me, so to have people like them there showing so much care and willing to help helped me no end! There can be quite a stigma attached to it and a lot of the time people aren’t sure how to deal with that kind of situation but they were amazing! I thanked them before I left but I really hope this gets passed on to them and they get some sort of recognition for this, people are all too quick to complain but I dont feel like people are so quick to send back positive messages! So again, thankyou! Original Comment Report...

Visited here today to purchase some clotrimazole cream for fungal infection following use of anitbiotics for a chest infection I had two outbreaks one under breast fungal infection and an episode of vaginal thrush. I requested to buy two tubes of cream and explained that I didnt want to use the same cream in the two areas due to cross infection and hygiene reasons. Pharmacist refused to sell me two and told me to use the cream i would be using for vaginal thrush under my breast also. Advice given was that it would be fine as it was treating the same type of infection, I voiced my concerns about cross infection and he dismissed my concerns and told me to just use one and return for another at a later date. I was talked over the top of and all that was said to me that it was illegal to sell me two and their hands were tied. My husband attempted to buy a tube also and he was told they wouldn't sell him one .
I think its ridiculous and I question what guidelines they are using , I went to another pharmacy and they couldn't have been more helpful, two creams were provided when I explained why i needed them and I was supported in my concerns re cross contamination.
I will not be visiting this pharmacy again to be spoke to in such a manner by a rude pharmacist who appears to have no concept of infection control, Original Comment Report...
