Last month I used this pharmacy for the first time on the scheme that they order and deliver my prescriptions. Unfortunately, when I was supposed to receive my usual prescription they had not arrived. I rang the pharmacy and they apologised and immediately sent the driver with my pills. I assumed it was just teething problems. However, yesterday due to this oversight on their part last month I contacted them to ensure that I would be receiving my usual prescription on time by the 21st Dec. I was advised by them that they would not be contacting my GP until 29th Dec? The pharmacy stated that that is the date of my next prescription. I explained to the pharmacy that no they are wrong and that my renewal is in fact the 21st Dec. The person I was speaking to refused to accept that they said they are right and I am wrong. I explained I am on drugs that if not taken would have serious affects on my health and that I will be informing my GP to discontinue this arrangement with the pharmacy as they cannot be relied upon, second time they have made a mistake in two months. I contacted my GP and they confirmed that my renewal is 21st Dec as I maintained. I therefore, cancelled with my GP any further dealings with Brunshaw pharmacy. My GP then informed that they had also sent to this pharmacy two changes of drugs last Friday. I then went to the pharmacy personally to collect these drugs as they had not delivered them to me;. When I entered and gave my name and address a person I assume was the pharmacist immediately addressed me in an agressive manner about why I had told them yesterday that I was not satisfied with their service. I advised the person that I came in to collect the pills they should have delivered last Friday and that I will be cancelling any further dealings with them. They started to be aggressive again and I told the person I had not come in to be lectured to by anyone just to collect the pills. I was duly given the pills and they still remarked that I am not due any further pills until 29th Dec! I advised them that I had been in touch with my GP and they had confirmed to me that I am right and the pills are due on 21st Dec. It really was a good job I had checked with this pharmacy otherwise,at some time during the the Christmas period I would have had to go to hospital to get these pills. Absolutely disgusting and unprofessional conduct on behalf of this pharmacy. Especially when I went to collect pills that they should have delivered last Fri and was subjected to abuse because of their denial to accept their errors. Do not use if you are on any medication that is important you take on a regular and necessary regime. They cannot be relied on.....
