Valley Court

It was a terrible burden to have to find a care home for my father, my brother and I visited a number of places in the area, Valley Court stood out immediately because of the reception we received. The member of staff who dealt with us listened to what we said about our Father's needs and showed us all of the relevant facilities. We were also impressed with the general appearance of the home. They then took us back to the office made us comfortable and asked lot's of questions regarding our Father's condition, requirements and needs. Afterwards they said that after we'd considered it and discussed it we could then let them know our decision and if we so wished they would start the admission procedure. My brother and I looked at each other and said, "you can start now". Such was our satisfaction with what we'd seen and heard and the contrast with other homes we'd visited. Nevertheless it was a worrying time but once our Father arrived he was treated so well that both he and my brother and I were quickly reassured we'd made the right decision. Being as our Father was terminally ill the only thing the staff could do was to keep him comfortable and happy which they did to the best of their ability. Father remained cheerful right up until his last day. I'm convinced we couldn't have found a better place for him. We're still very grateful to them all.
