Riverside Care Centre

Riverside Care Centre: Located in the beautiful village of Sawley, overlooking the stunning forest of Bowland with views of the River Ribble, Riverside Care Centre is a registered residential home with accommodation for 40 residential service users.

The Care Centre has 12 years& experience in providing dementia care and has a team of dedicated staff all trained to NVQ Level 2. The team ensure that Riverside is a happy, welcoming and homely environment for all residents.

Riverside is decorated and furnished to a high standard to provide a caring and homely environment, designed to promote independence and maximise privacy and dedicated to the provision of the finest care of its clients.

Day space consists of four lounges overlooking the large garden; two large airy lounges, one with a conservatory and two smaller, quiet lounges. The ground floor has direct, easy access to the extensive well-maintained gardens.

All bedrooms are single occupancy and are located on two floors, with chair lift access to the first floor.

Riverside has various treatment rooms, an enclosed sensory courtyard and a state of the art sensory room for residents& enjoyment. Independent living is promoted with a team of qualified staff available to provide assistance where and when needed. All client rooms and communal areas are fitted with a call bell system so that staff assistance can be obtained quickly and easily.

Riverside run a comprehensive activities programme, focusing on individual needs. Residents can choose to participate in either group or one to one activities. As people with dementia remember their past life more clearly than their present, staff try to get to know as much about their history as possible which enables them to provide more meaningful activities.
