Alfriston Court Care Home

My mother has stayed at Alfriston Court for quite a while now, she is very happy and never moans to me about her treatment until recently she did tell me something that has been playing on my mind. unfortunately my mother needs a lot of care and is very frail an cannot do much for herself. She told me that on more than one occasion there have been a couple of the carers/nurses who have seemed uninterested in helping with her needs and have been more interested in talking to eachother about going for dinner, discussing their recent holiday and about their children having play dates etc. I think it is only healthy for staff to socialise with eachother but please put my mothers needs before your weekly catch ups. She also told me that one staff member in particular has caught her body and face on a couple of occasions with her nails which i personally do not think carers should be allowed to wear at work incase of these incidents. Other than that my mother is happy and most of the staff are happy to help with her needs but i will try and get the names of the ones who are not very helpful and pass them on to the manager of the home.
