Vallance Residential Care Home

I have had a personal interest in Vallance Residential Care Home for 9 months & still ongoing. The atmosphere is very relaxed and the carers and staff really spend a lot of effort getting to know all the residents and their families. They work with the family and individual to ensure that all are as happy as can be. The home is extremely well run and the Manager, is very confident and this provides an air of security throughout the home. The living space is made up of 2 houses merged together via a link way with a large lounge, smaller quiet lounge and a dining area. There is also a lovely garden at the back of the premises. There is no restiction on residents movements with-in the home, with the exception of the 5* kitchen and office. Breakfast is brought at a time favoured by each resident. The other meals are at set times but changes to these by individuals is always accomodated as is food preference and a choice of meals for lunch and tea every day. The staff work very hard ensuring both the physical and emotional wellbeing of the residents and there are a range of activities throughout the week. There is a PAT dog who visits regularly. Spiritual aspects of a persons life is also addressed as are social needs ie attending day centres or other social occasions. The property is currently undergoing a refurb, including new carpet throughout and redecoration. The rooms are light and airy, with themed bedrooms. The staff are eager to sort out any problems which arise. My advice is to come and have a look around. I am happy here and would be happy to have a dear friend or other relative here.
