The Granary Care Centre is a purpose built facility for people with dementia. The centre has accommodation for up to 78 people. This comprises a care home with nursing for up to 60 people (The Granary) and a more specialist healthcare unit for up to 18 people (Crofters Lodge).

Dec 9 2013 As a relative with two family members in the care of The Granary, I was shocked and concerned that 3 carers were arrested for alleged abuse at the start of the year. Cqc's involvement subsequently resulted in a very poor report. The granary staff have taken on board the comments made and have worked very hard to turn things around during 2013. Staff now appear happier, have received training and support from management and the atmosphere within the home is much improved. There is good communication between nursing staff and the families of these (at times) very challenging residents. I would have no qualms about contacting the home with any worries.
