Red Rocks Nursing Home Ltd

Mum has been at Red Rocks Nursing Home since mid-July last year (i.e., 2020), where she was transferred following surgery at the local hospital. The care she has received has been nothing short of excellent - and consistently so - since day one. She arrived looking a little poorly and in low mood, but after just 24 hours at RRNH she was looking and sounding much more like herself. There was a bit of an emergency towards the end of July, but the home was very quick to respond, an emergency doctor was called, and within a couple of days she was well on the mend, and continues to look well Carers and nurses have been attentive, considerate and good-humoured. Mum is well fed, looks in good health, and in good spirits. I can’t thank or praise Red Rocks too highly, and would have no hesitation in recommending it to anyone.

My experience at Red Rocks has totally changed my opinion of Nursing homes which generally get very bad press. Within days of arriving, my stepfather was adamant he never wanted to return home and spent a very very happy last few months of his life here being cared for by the wonderful staff. Each one of them treated him with the utmost kindness and respect. I can not fault any aspect from the cleanliness to the food to the care. Mike leads a wonderful team including Helen and the administration team who were really easy to deal with too. My stepfather was treated as an individual with individual needs - he was made to feel special and very welcome. We visited unannounced and it was never a problem. It gave all the family incredible peace of mind to know he was so well looked after and so happy. The location and the amazing vistas were an added bonus. My stepfatherl was an amateur poet and was so moved by his wonderful time at Red Rocks that it led to him taking pen to paper again despite being very ill and writing some lovely poems about his time there. Red Rocks is a wonderfully warm and welcoming home that offers top quality nursing care with staff who genuinely care.

I have been a resident at Red Rocks since 2011. My room, which is lovely has a wonderful, direct view of Red Rocks beach and Hilbre Island. This is a place that I have known all my married life and where I brought my children to play on the beach when they were young. It has been such an important part of my life for so long and meant so much to me to be able to come here. I love the view across the estuary to North Wales and watching the tide and the birds come and go. I can understand why Sir Peter Scott came here so often. The care I receive is excellent and I feel that I am always treated with respect as a person. This is something that a nursing home should have and something that hospitals do not always manage. I enjoy the food, it is like really good home cooking and there is always plenty and everywhere is extremely clean and well maintained. I am very happy here.
