Ridgewell House

Ridgewell House is a residential care home for 16 people. It provides care for elderly people and people with dementia.

We are a small friendly care home and is located in a village called Holland-on-Sea.& It is in close proximity to the seafront and several local amenities including post office, churches, Hotel and supermarket.& The nearest train station is in Clacton-on-Sea which links to Colchester (15 miles) and London (70 miles).& Ridgewell House is ideally located to meet the needs of elderly people and their families.& The home with its established garden and its close proximity to the beachfront attracts people from further a field who enjoy this quiet Essex seaside location.& &

The Home has a spacious, bright ,well presented lounge with a piano. This lovely room overlooks the attractive garden. The diningroom overlooking the front of the house has easy to use chairs which have ski type legs, ensuring ease of movement. There is a garden lounge which has recently been turned into a Fifties room with everyday items from this era.& This tends to be a quieter lounge area. Residents also have the use of a state of the art &Mobile Sensory Unit& – It has a bubble tube, fibre optic strands, cd player and projector.& Residents are encouraged to use common areas but are free to remain in their room if they wish. &
