I will forever be grateful to the team at Westbury Court for taking such great care of my mum. Their kindness, patience, attentiveness, humour and empathy truly helped mum make the difficult transition from her home and the adjustment to her continuing loss of independence. Whenever I called, the phone was always answered promptly and whomever answered knew exactly where mum was and what kind of a day she was having. I do not live in the UK so this was very comforting to me. Mum has a rare condition which the staff took the time to find out about in order to best take care of her. They built strong relationships with her and in her words "treat me like a human being". She always enjoyed the activities they hosted, either joining in or observing. She particularly enjoyed a recent visit from a petting zoo! And she loved the food - this is high praise indeed as she can be a harsh critic. As Westbury was her emergency respite placement, she has recently moved to a nursing home closer to where she used to live but I know she misses everyone there very much. |

My thanks to all at Westbury Court for the care and compassion provided to my mother during her 3 year stay. Knowing the care she received made her passing all the more bearable. Thank you. |
