Mum’s short stay at Hillhouse was first class.
The staff and care were outstanding being friendly and efficient at the same time to both mum and her family. We were kept informed at all stages of mum’s care and our wishes taken into consideration.
The home was bright and light with a high standard of cleanliness and ambience. Food was also very good and served properly.
Thank you for making mum’s stay a good one. |

My Mum was resident for 5 years.
The home is clean, bright, well maintained and furnished with nice gardens. Food is good. security good.
What really makes it first class is the staff. They are kind, respectful, and caring. Staffing levels always seemed to be adequate.
When you hear of some peoples dreadful experiences in the care home sector I can say that I never had a moments doubt that Mum received first class care |

My Mother-in-law had been diagnosed with Alzheimer's and she was obviously not safe to continue living in her own home by herself, she needed to have 24 hour care and support. She used to be a very sociable lady but had become withdrawn in herself, it was then decided we needed to look for some where she would be happy and safe. when we decided to move her into Hill brow it was the best decision for all of the family, when we were looking around the different homes it felt like home from home and the staff are always willing to help. There was no offensive smell like some of the other homes we looked at, and the food is all cooked fresh in the home. she has now got a very active social life she enjoys all of the trips, activities and she attends the day centre twice a week, she receives out standing care, the staff are all very friendly and helpful, the homes office is always open and we are always able to chat at any time, nothing is to much trouble. we are offered refreshments when we visit.. We enjoy the walks around the garden, which has a fantastic fish pond in it, the residents enjoy sitting and watching this. the staff take time to sit and chat with the residents which is nice. The resident also seem to like to have the television on in between the daily activities, which are great and provide a variety of activities to all. My mother-in-law is looking forward to going to the seaside with the home later this month. |
