Nov 25 2013 The management at Madeira House Nursing Home in Louth (Advinia Health Care Limited) seem to be inexperienced at attending to the needs of physically frail elderly residents, and with call buttons out of reach, being left in the dark, no available fluids and inappropriate dietary needs, and no televisions in rooms they claim is offered, it is not a nursing home I would recommend.The environment is fine from the outside, but the interior is like a typical institutional environment, and not at all "homely" or friendly. You cannot come and go as you like. You have to ring to get in, and trying to find a member of staff at might is a nightmare. There was only one nurse on duty for 48 residents and which seems to me to be understaffed.There are recorded cases of unrecorded injury that may be physical abuse at this and at there Leytonstone Home, the Care Quality Commission were also concerned that injury go unrecorded, and therefore put residents at risk.Their directors seem to come and go like planes leaving an airport. They also have numerous "registered" addresses that change frequently, so Madeira Houser Nursing Home, unless you are looking for an institution for your "Loved One(s)" in Louth, I would steer well clear of Madeira House Nursing Home!
