Thanks to the friendly, caring staff @ Acorn Lodge, my painful time spent there was made comfortable. Nothing was too much for them, and they were always happy to help.
The food was as good as could be expected, and I looked forward to my cooked breakfast every morning.
I'll miss Acorn Lodge, and will treasure the the fond memories I'm left with. |

The carers are hardworking, but at times so busy that they seem to be fed up. I feel that they are caring towards their charges, but at times due to ratio of staff to resident its really busy and things can get missed and those that are fully dependent on the service can be let down e.g if they need the loo and due to their problems can not wait long the dignity of the person is compromised as the staffs are helping someone else. Ratio to staff I am told is 3 to five residents not enough I feel for it to work. At times her personal belongings are missing regularly. |
