my sister had to stay here only for 3 nights (fortunately) as her usual respite home did not have any space over the weekend. I picked her up and was extremely upset at her condition... ie she was sat with her head down, as were most of the others, no interaction with any of the staff (all seemingly fairly young) and everyone was sat around the outside of the large room, all aparently left to their own little world. None of the staff were making any attempt at conversing with the poor souls and were obviously happy to leave them all sat in their chairs whilst doing other "chores". I spoke to her to find out how she had enjoyed herself and was told they had not bathed or showered her from friday afternoon until monday afternoon when i picked her up...only a wash according to my sister. Her clothes were stained and none of them had been washed. I took her back to her normal place and within 24 hours she was back to her usual chatty sociable self.....what a complete difference to the day before. I have promised myself she will never return to this place.
