My father in law has been residing at Nene Lodge for over a year. We have been very pleasantly surprised by the high level of care he has received. All carers are highly motivated and good humoured. Food and refreshments are plentiful. Exercise classes are well attended and held at least twice weekly. The manager/ owner relationship is close and both have a positive attitude which benefits the residents who are encouraged to spend time talking with them. The communal rooms and bedrooms are nicely decorated in a style suiting the age demographic of the residents. Each resident has wi-fi and their own private facilities and the whole place is clean and tidy. There is ample parking for staff and visitors. I cannot recommend it highly enough to anyone who is looking for a place to look after their loved ones.Covid protocols are respected and maintained throughout. |

If anyone is worried about their parent going into a care home then consider Nene Lodge. From our first visit to discuss and view the home we were warmly welcomed and made to feel at ease (it is not an easy thing to do helping a parent to make a decision to leave their home). Everything was explained fully, no question we asked was treated as a silly question, small things matter and although might seem silly to ask they do need to be asked, the staff treated everything as serious and answered kindly and fully. Once mum decided to take a room we were offered the chance to move things in prior to her move. Mum was also able to take her own bed, bed side cabinet, drawers and book case which was lovely as it made her room feel like her own. Having said that the furniture and fittings already in the room were very nice.
On mum’s arrival at the home she was met and made to feel very welcome as was my husband, daughter, son in law and myself. We were told shout if you need some help and in fact they could not have been kinder. All the staff as they walked by mum’s room popped in and said hello and introduced themselves, both members of staff made sure mum felt at home and settled.
Since mum has been in the home she has been shown nothing but kindness. She is very well looked after and tells me the food is great.
I have to say what I thought would be a hard and may be daunting experience has been anything but, thanks to the kind and caring staff at Nene Lodge the whole process has been straight forward and easy. Thank you . |

Me and my husband stayed here whilst our bathroom was renovated. The staff were extremely accommodating and made us feel welcome. Nothing was too much trouble. We enjoyed our stay and would recommend to others |
