My wife was a resident at Oak Lodge for over 6 years and I went in twice daily during this period. I have nothing but praise for the nurses and carers who at all time were committed and caring at above their call of duty. During my wife's period in the nursing home I only had a couple of minor complaints which were effectively dealt with immediately. I noticed in the 2017 CQC report that the staffing levels were not satisfactory. This at odd times is correct but the management fight a daily battle with casual sickness and are often not told a that a member of staff is unwell until it is too late for the management to arrange alternative staff. Casual sickness unfortunately seems to be endemic in this industry. I would definitely recommend this nursing home to anyone whose relative requires nursing and care to a high standard.
